CANADIAN COMEDY AWARDS - GUIDELINES
 

Key Dates:
No more nominations will be excepted. Cut off date was April 1st, 2005 - No fooling.
Voting Guidelines: Voting will open in July and last until September:

  1. To vote nominate or win you have to be Canadian, born in Canada, or landed immigrant or have done the bulk of your work in Canada.

  2. Work had to be performed in the 2004 calendar year. For television the first run had to be aired or presented during the calendar year or broadcast year. (2004-April 2005)

  3. There are 20 awards in 3 categories: Film, Television, and Live comedy. (Click here to view last years categories and winners.)

  4. Nominations close June 24th

  5. Voting will commence in July and close in early August. Check website for updates.
The Comedy Association:
  • If you are in one of the guilds you are a member and can register as such by selecting that option when voting commences.
  • If you have voted as a member of the Association in the past two years re register when voting by selecting comedy association and updating your info
  • If you are new to this process you must send by mail or fax (416-925-5923) a letter stating why you should be a member of the comedy association with the signature of a voting member, or by providing references of places you have performed or had your work performed. You will be notified before voting if you qualify.
